About Dr. Asrar Rashid

Dr. Asrar Rashid is a British CSST Board-certified consultant Paediatric Intensivist, and clinician-scientist, specializing in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transport of critically ill newborns and children. Trained internationally in the UK, Australia, and the USA, Dr. Rashid has held senior pediatric critical care roles and led PICU development in the UAE. 
He holds an Executive MBA from London Business School and is an academic author focused on big data genomics and emerging healthcare markets. He integrates frontline pediatric critical care with service transformation and innovation, particularly applying AI and genomics to sepsis and severe infections, and is recognized for his humanitarian contributions.

    • NHS Consultant Paediatric Critical Care, Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham (appointed 2004).
    • Retrieval Consultant, North Yorkshire & Humber Neonatal and Paediatric NHS service (Embrace) (appointed 2011).
    •  Held senior clinical leadership roles in Paediatric Critical Care in the UAE (from 2016), including establishing and developing PICU services at Mediclinic City Hospital, Dubai, and NMC Royal Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
