University Hospital Sharjah Launches the Use of High-Field Open MRI (1.2 Tesla):

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, to equip Sharjah with the latest technologies and advanced medical devices, University Hospital Sharjah has been furnished with a High-Field Open MRI device (1.2 Tesla).

The official inauguration of the MRI department was attended by H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of University Hospital Sharjah, alongside Mr. Michio Kondo, General Manager of Fujifilm Middle East, and Mr. Kinjal Zaveri, CEO of "One Health" Group.

This device, the first of its kind in the Middle East and the UAE, represents a significant addition to healthcare services, reaffirming the hospital’s position as a leading center for advanced medical services. The device is designed to enhance the patient experience, particularly for individuals with claustrophobia, overweight patients, and children.
