University Hospital Sharjah, in collaboration with the International Federation of Thalassemia Patients, organized an awareness program in observance of World Thalassemia Day. This day aims to promote the significance of medical screenings and the prevention of this disease.

The World Hand Hygiene Day is celebrated all over the world on May 05, 2023. This year’s theme is, “Together, we can accelerate action to prevent infections and antimicrobial resistance in health care and build a culture of safety and quality in which hand hygiene improvement is given high priority”. Annually, the World Health Organization SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands campaign aims to progress the goal of upholding a global profile on the significance of hand hygiene in health care and to unite people in support of hand hygiene improvement globally.

International Workers' Day Festival

Under the slogan "With you and for you", the University Hospital Sharjah team actively participated in the International Workers' Day Festival", organized by the Labor Standards Development Authority for 4 days. Where our team provided free check-ups, in honor and appreciation of the efforts of workers and their role in building our society.

Autism Spectrum Awareness Event

The University Hospital Sharjah, in collaboration with the Sharjah Autism Center - Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, organized a Community Outreach program on Saturday, May 29, 2023. The purpose of the session was to address the pressing issue of autism spectrum disorder, which has become a major concern for parents in today's society. UHS experts, along with a specialist from the Sharjah Autism Center, actively participated in the session.
